Applications for the Phyllis Bedells Bursary 2020 now open

This bursary, supported by the Mary Kipps Bequest, is awarded annually and has a value of up to £1,000 to be used to further the winner’s training. Payment can be offset against existing tuition fees or against material and equipment.

A choreographic award will also be presented which gives the judges a formal opportunity to recognise the best of the Dancer’s Own choreography. The winning choreography will be announced alongside the Phyllis Bedells recipient/s. We are delighted that we are able to continue a monetary prize of £250 for the Choreographic Award. This donation is thanks to a bequest from the estate of the late Dr Ivor Guest and will continue to be awarded for a further eight years.

This year, we are pleased to announce that the RAD’s Artistic Director, Gerard Charles, will be teaching the bursary class.
