About the Performance

The Solo Seal is the highest examination level offered by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), with the first having taken place in 1928. The format requires candidates to perform three contrasting variations from each of the uniquely demanding and technically distinct 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, as well as a finale.
