Solo Seal (Toronto, ON)

The Solo Seal is the highest examination level offered by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), with the first having taken place in 1928.

The examination takes place in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. Candidates perform 3 contrasting set solo variations, which have been selected to meet the technical and movement demands of today’s top choreographers and directors, and a Finale, choreographed by the candidate and/or their teacher.

This is a unique opportunity to attend the Solo Seal, the RAD’s highest level of examination open to students who achieve Distinction in Advanced 2 as they harness their nerves and polish their technique to perform at their very best.

Doors open at 6:30pm,  Exam starts promptly at 7:00pm.
There will be no intermission during this exam for late entry. Latecomers will not be seated.
