World Teachers' Day

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe, and the theme for 2022 is “The transformation of education begins with teachers”.

To celebrate the positive transformation that teachers can have on their students' lives, the Royal Academy of Dance want to give you the chance to say thank you on this World Teachers' Day, with a special competition draw for our RAD teachers to win a year’s free membership.

Whether you’re a student, parent, carer or colleague, you can nominate an RAD registered teacher. If your teacher wins, you win a mystery prize of your own!

Our winner will be selected by random draw and announced on 12 October.

Entries will close at 9am, on 11 October 2022, and the winner will be contacted later that day.

Terms & conditions

   Only one entry per person is permitted.

2. Only RAD registered teachers are eligible for nomination.
3. Entries made by direct message on webform on the competition webpage.
4. Teachers can be nominated by a student, parents, carers or colleagues.
5. The free year is applied from the winner’s next renewal date.
6. Winner selected by random draw.
7. There is no cash alternative to the competition prize.
8. The winner will be notified as soon as they have been ascertained and will be contacted directly. We will also post the news on the Royal Academy of Dance’s socials after the winning has accepted and has passed eligibility.
9. Any winner who has not responded to notification of their winning within 7 days will forfeit their prize and a replacement winner will be selected from the other entrants.
10. All entries must be received by the closing date.
11. Use of entrants’ contact information is required for delivering the winner’s prize only. After the competition all entrants’ information that is not already within the RAD members database will be discarded according to GDPR regulations.
