How to Enter Candidates
Guidance for teachers on entering students for RAD exams.
For a teacher to enter candidates for RAD exams they must:
- be a current teacher registered with the RAD
- have registered the school and the candidates they wish to enter.
The following guidance should also be read – The role of the registered teacher in examinations
Entry forms can be submitted by another individual (e.g. the school principal), but there must be an RAD Registered Teacher listed on the entry form who is employed or contracted by the school.
If you are a new teacher, or are new to a particular area, we recommend that you contact us to introduce yourself and to ensure that you are added to our mailing list.
Entering Candidates Online for RAD Exams
The RAD online exams functionality is located in the Members’ Area.
For Graded and Vocational level exams taking place in your own studio (AEC) or for exams taking place in an RAV (a studio provided by the RAD), please complete the online registration process. (Note: this is a new portal and previous login information will not work.)
For additional assistance, please contact your regional planner:
For examinations taking place in a teacher’s own studio (Approved Examination Centre or AEC) fill in the AEC entry form.
For examinations taking place in a studio provided by the RAD (RAD Approved Venue or RAV), fill in the RAV entry form.
Please note, there are different versions of the entry forms, depending on the version of software being used. Additionally, our entry forms will not work on a tablet device – you will need a computer to complete them.
Send the correct exam fee to your local office. The office will get in touch to confirm your exam date and time.
If you have any technical trouble with the forms, contact email@example.com.
For more information on the entry process, see specifications.
